Turkmenistan, Cambodia discuss possibilities of developing political diplomatic and trade-economic cooperation

ASHGABAT. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister Myakhri Byashimova has met with Cambodia's Ambassador to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) Sok Chea to discuss the possibilities of developing the political-diplomatic dialogue and trade-economic cooperation, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry's website stated on Monday.

The two sides examined the possibilities of developing the political-diplomatic dialogue, noting the positive experience of cooperation within international and regional formats, primarily the UN, the statement said. They also touched on improving interaction between the two countries' parliaments.

The sides discussed ways to establish trade-economic cooperation, in particular by organizing joint business forums and exhibitions, the statement said.

In addition, the diplomats expressed the mutual interest in expanding cultural and humanitarian relations. They discussed the possibility of sharing experience in the spheres of science, education, culture and tourism.

At the meeting, the ambassador delivered copies of his credentials.
