Putin did not meet with Durov in Baku - Peskov
MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin did not meet with Telegram messenger founder Pavel Durov while visiting Baku, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"No, [there was no such meeting]," Peskov told reporters.
Putin paid a state visit to Baku on August 18-19. Some media outlets said that Durov proposed a meeting with Putin, but the Russian president declined the offer.
French media said that Durov was detained in Paris upon his arrival from Baku on August 24. The charges brought against Durov remain unknown.
