Ukraine withdraws from CIS agreement on technical barriers in free trade area

MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved Kiev's withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Agreement on Technical Barriers in the Free Trade Area.

The decision was made at a government meeting last Friday, Ukrainian media said, citing Government Representative to the Parliament Taras Melnichuk.

In particular, Ukraine withdrew from the Agreement on Technical Barriers in the Free Trade Area signed in Moscow on June 20, 2000.
