Over 235,000 Ukrainians arrive in Belarus since special military operation beginning
MINSK. Aug 23 (Interfax) - More than 235,000 Ukrainian citizens have arrived in Belarus since the beginning of the special military operation, the Belarusian State Border Committee said on Friday.
"A total of 235,246 Ukrainian citizens have arrived in the Republic of Belarus from the Ukrainian territory since February 24, 2022, including 15,954 across the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, 168,152 by transit through Poland, 45,277 through Lithuania, and 5,863 through Latvia," the committee said.
As many as 88,754 Ukrainian citizens have arrived in Belarus since the beginning of this year, including 36 from the Ukrainian territory, 70,364 through Poland, 17,027 through Lithuania, and 1,327 through Latvia, it said.
