Kazakhstan updates oil production compensation plan under OPEC+ agreement - ministry

ASTANA. Aug 22 (Interfax-) - Kazakhstan has updated its oil production compensation plan to address any excess production beyond the quota set by the OPEC+ agreement, the Kazakh Energy Ministry said.

"Kazakhstan has revised its compensation plan, including the overproduction in July, and submitted it to the OPEC Secretariat," it said.

"Kazakhstan reaffirms its commitment to the OPEC+ agreement and fully supports the decisions made in collaboration with other OPEC+ member countries," the ministry also said.

"Kazakhstan will make every effort to fulfill its obligations and compensate for overproduction according to the compensation plan," it said.
