Switzerland sanctions 27 Belarusian citizens
MINSK. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Switzerland has imposed sanctions on 27 Belarusian citizens in line with a decision published on the website of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs.
The latest additions to the Swiss sanctions list include chief of the Belarusian Interior Ministry's department for combating organized crime corruption Andrei Ananenko, his deputies Andrei Bedunkevich and Dmitry Kovach, deputy head of the state prosecution unit of the Prosecutor General Office's department for legal compliance of court rulings in criminal case Mikhail Kovalev, head of the Grodno region's Volkovysk Correctional Facility No. 11 Viktor Dubrovka, head of Grodno's Prison No. 1 Pavel Kazakov, his deputy Vasily Koleda, head of Gomel's Correctional Facility No. 4 Denis Tolstenkov, head of Minsk's Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 1 Andrei Tsedrik, BelTA news agency general director Irina Akulovich, Belarus Segodnya publishing house editor-in-chief Dmitry Zhuk, and several judges.
The restrictive measures include blocking their assets, a ban on loans and large bank deposits in Switzerland, and a ban on tourist trips and air travel.
