Russian customs sub-commission approves extension of sunflower, soybean export duties until Sept 1, 2026 - Economic Development Ministry
MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The Sub-Commission on Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation and Protective Measures in Foreign Trade of the Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration has approved an extension of export duties in the amount of 50%, but not less than 32,000 rubles per tonne on sunflower seeds and 20%, but not less than $100 per tonne on soybeans from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2026, the Economic Development Ministry told Interfax.
It is planned to extend "floating" export duties on sunflower oil and meal for the same period.
In addition, the sub-commission supported export duties in the amount of 30% but no less than 165 euros per tonne for rapeseed from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2026. The decision replaces the earlier temporary ban on rapeseed exports.
"The measures, which have been discussed with business, aim to maintain balance on the domestic market and to restrain consumer prices. The respective draft resolution will be duly submitted to the government," the ministry press service said.
