USAID provides 58 grain trailers to 12 Ukrainian farming businesses
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided 20 more trailers to another four Ukrainian agricultural companies, which would help them speed up grain collection, reduce transportation costs, and increase grain transport capacity by 169,000 tonnes per year.
"These 20 recently-delivered trailers build on the previous 38 trailers given to eight other agricultural companies in Ukraine, making a total of 58 USAID-supported trailers," Ukrainian media quoted USAID as saying on its social account.
According to USAID's estimates, the farming businesses in question would be able to increase Ukraine's grain handling by 243,500 tonnes per year, thus strengthening the domestic agricultural sector and global food security.
