Russia sees its special and privileged strategic partnership with India as significant - Putin
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated India's President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day, saying that India has achieved generally recognized successes in its socioeconomic development, science, technology and a large number of other areas over the past 77 years.
"We attach great significance to our special and privileged strategic partnership with India. I am confident that the consistent implementation of the agreements reached following our recent talks in Moscow will contribute to the further development of multifaceted Russian-Indian cooperation. Beyond any doubt, it meets the interests of our friendly peoples and is in line with efforts to strengthen international stability and security," Putin said in his greetings published on the Kremlin website on Thursday.
Putin also wished India's president and prime minister health and success and wished Indian citizens happiness and prosperity.
