Russia's Inter RAO exported 1.6 bln kWh of electricity to Kazakhstan, 0.5 bln kWh to China in H1
MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Inter RAO exported 2.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to Kazakhstan in H1 2024, the Russian electricity holding said in information.
It exported 0.6 billion kWh to Mongolia, 0.5 billion kWh to China and 0.8 billion kWh elsewhere.
The overall exports were 3.5 billion kWh.
Earlier, Inter RAO reported growth in exports to Kyrgyzstan in H1 2024, by more than 30%, to Mongolia, by more than 50% and to some other destinations. The increase was mainly due to higher flows from Kazakhstan, by 8.9%, thanks to the parallel operation of energy systems.
Export revenue rose 30.9% to 12 billion rubles as the price of supplies rose due to an increase in the share of supplies to Kazakhstan during power control hours, the company said.
