Temporary crossing to open at Ukraine-Poland border

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - An additional border crossing, Korczmin-Stayevka, near the town of Belz in the Chervonograd district of Ukraine's Lvov region will become operational for two days, August 16 and 17, as part of European Neighborhood Days, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing the Lvov city council's statement on social media.

"The temporary border crossing in Belz will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Belz city council, the Ulhowek province and the Nativity of the Holy Mother of God parish (Lublin) are inviting Ukrainians to visit European Neighborhood Days," it said.

As reported, pavement repairs began at Hrebenne-Rava Russkaya, the nearest border crossing, and are expected to last until September 12. Difficulties with travel in this direction are possible due to the ongoing repairs, Ukraine's State Border Service said.
