New national export development project aims for 2/3 increase of non-commodity, non-energy exports to 21.12 trln rubles by 2030 - Russian PM

MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - Russia is aiming for a two-thirds increase in non-commodity, non-energy exports to 21.12 trillion rubles by 2030 compared to 2023, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Tuesday, adding that the target was set by the updated International Cooperation and Export national project.

"Before the end of this decade, we need to increase the volume of non-commodity, non-energy exports by two thirds versus last year's level, and reach the target of about 21.12 trillion rubles by the current exchange rate," Mishustin said at a strategic government session on preparations for the national project.

The national project aims to increase agricultural exports at least 1.5 times by 2030 compared to 2021, to more than 4.7 trillion rubles, he said.

The Industry and Trade Ministry said earlier that Russia's non-commodity, non-energy exports dropped from $190.4 billion in 2022 to $146.3 billion in 2023. Russia hit a record of $194.2-billion non-commodity, non-energy exports in 2021.

The ministry is preparing the International Cooperation and Export national project. It is expected to include four federal projects, namely, those for industrial exports, agricultural exports, a set of instruments for developing external economic relations, and advancing foreign support mechanisms.
