Kiev's actions create direct threat not only to Kursk NPP, but also to entire global nuclear energy industry - Rosatom

MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - The situation at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) has grown more complicated as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack in the Kursk region of Russia, and it creates a threat to the development of the world's nuclear energy industry, Rosatom said on Saturday following a telephone call of its CEO Alexei Likhachev and International Atomic Energy Agency Director Rafael Grossi.

"The key subject of the consultation was the situation surrounding the Kursk NPP. Alexei Likhachev emphasized during the call that the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces create a direct threat not only to the Kursk NPP, but also to the development of the entire global nuclear energy industry. The situation has grown more complicated in the past few days," Rosatom said.
