Bahrain opening market for Ukrainian poultry producers

MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Bahrain has opened access to its market for Ukrainian producers of poultry and products from it, Ukrainian media outlets said with a reference to the press service of Ukraine's State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

"This week, the Foreign Ministry, together with the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, is opening a new market in the Kingdom of Bahrain for Ukrainian producers. Last week, we opened a market in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The opening of two markets in a row in various regions of the world is an evidence of the systemic work aimed at support to Ukrainian exporters," the press service quoted Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba as saying.

State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection Director Sergei Tkachuk, in turn, pointed out that the opening of two markets in a short period of time is a result of a dedicated effort which took more than a month, even more than a year.

The State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection drew attention of potential exporters to the need to comply with the requirements for imports of poultry meat and products from it to Bahrain.
