Russia, Belarus to sign agreement on security guarantees
MINSK. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Russia and Belarus intend to sign an agreement on security guarantees, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov met with Russian Ambassador in Minsk Boris Gryzlov to discuss this subject, the ministry's press service said.
"The parties focused on preparing for the signing of a draft Belarusian-Russian agreement on security guarantees this year," the ministry said.
Other details were not reported.
"They discussed current matters of Belarusian-Russian cooperation at the meeting," it said.
