Russia had consolidated budget surplus of 126 bln rubles in H1 - Treasury

MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Russia had a consolidated budget surplus of 126.1 billion rubles in H1 2024, according to a preliminary estimate, the Federal Treasury said on its website.

There was a consolidated deficit of 2.191 trillion rubles for H1 2023.

Consolidated budget revenue was 32.783 trillion rubles in January-June 2024 and consolidated expenditure was 32.656 trillion rubles.

The federal budget deficit was 1.065 trillion rubles in H1 2024. The Finance Ministry had estimated it at 929 billion rubles. It was adjusted as a result of a downward revision of both revenue and spending, which the Treasury said were 16.635 trillion rubles and 17.7 trillion rubles, respectively, compared with the Finance Ministry's estimates of 17.093 trillion rubles and 18.022 trillion rubles.

Constituent members or regions of the Russian Federation had a consolidated budget surplus of 855.8 billion rubles in H1 2024, with revenue of 11.132 trillion rubles and expenditure of 10.276 trillion rubles.

The budgets of state extra-budgetary funds had a surplus of 230.8 billion rubles in H1, with revenue of 9.293 trillion rubles and expenditure of 9.062 trillion rubles.

The budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds had a surplus of 104.7 billion rubles in H1, with revenue of 1.679 trillion rubles and spending of 1.575 trillion rubles.
