Russia invested 3 bln yuan of NWF money in corporate bonds in July - MinFin

MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Russia invested 3 billion yuan of National Welfare Fund (NWF) resources in bonds in July, the Finance Ministry reported.

The ministry did not specify whose bonds these were, saying only that they were "securities of other Russian issuers." Interfax has contacted the ministry for comment.

Balances on NWF accounts in yuan decreased by this amount, 3 billion yuan, in July, to 226.533 billion from 229.533 billion.

The Finance Ministry has never before disclosed information about investments in the yuan-denominated bonds of Russian issuers.
