USAID supplies Ukrenergo with $80-mln equipment since end-Feb 2022

MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has supplied Ukrenergo with hardware and personal protective equipment worth of over $80 million since the end of February 2022, Ukrainian media said, citing the company's statement on a social network.

It noted that the U.S. government and USAID funded the procurement and delivery of 18 high-voltage autotransformers, some of which are working at Ukrenergo facilities.

As reported, USAID provided Ukrenergo with hardware and personal protective equipment worth of around $10 million between the crisis beginning and January 2024. For instance, the company was running two high-voltage autotransformers at its facilities.
