Ukrainian govt approves receipt of 50 mln euros from EU to repair port infrastructure
MOSCOW. Aug 2 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved the receipt of an extra 50 million euros from the European Union to finance the repairs and upgrades of port infrastructure, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
"We are adopting this decision to help redistribute resources and receive an extra 50 million euros from the EU for reconstruction programs," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at a government meeting on Friday.
An additional agreement envisions the allocation of 50 million euros in extra financing by the EU for the Ukrainian budget to spend on repairing and upgrading port infrastructure through redistributing funds from the EU Recovery and Reform Support program.
Another additional agreement extends the period for the practical implementation and finalization of the agreement on financing the EU Recovery and Reform Support program by 24 months.
