Sber combines all construction projects into new block to be headed by architect Cirillo
MOSCOW. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Sberbank has created a new block to manage all of the group's construction projects, the state-owned lending institution said.
Sberbank said that the architect Lanfranco Cirillo would be appointed as senior vice president of the new Construction block.
Sberbank Deputy Management Board Chairman Stanislav Kuznetsov will oversee the block.
Lanfranco Cirillo is a graduate of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Cirillo has been working in Russia since the early 1990s and has Russian citizenship.
"Lanfranco Cirillo, a world-famous architect whose portfolio includes many masterpieces, will head the Construction block. Lanfranco has considerable experience in construction and an excellent sense of style. I am confident that his arrival at Sber will strengthen our construction area and allow us to build even more high-quality, modern and beautiful facilities that are significant for all of Russia," Sberbank CEO Herman Gref said in the statement.
