App Store blocks 50 illegal online casino applications at Kiev's request
MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - U.S.-based Apple Inc. has blocked 50 casino applications in App Store at the request of the Ukrainian Digital Transformation Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations and Development of Education, Science and Technologies, Digital Transformation Minister Mikhail Fyodorov said on Wednesday.
"We had appealed to Apple and Google and got the first decisions today: App Store blocked 50 gambling applications," Ukrainian media cited Fyodorov's statement on a social network.
In his words, the ministry and Apple had established cooperation for further blocking of illegal online casinos.
"We have also established a blocking fast track with Apple. All applications to be detected and reported by our team will be blocked immediately," Fyodorov said.
Negotiations are continuing with Google to block an illegal online casino in its applications, he said.
