Putin awards Natalia Solzhenitsyna with order For Merit to the Fatherland 3rd degree

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded Natalia Sonzhenitsyna, widow of writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn and president of the Solzhenitsyn Fund, with the order For Merit to the Fatherland 3rd degree.

The corresponding presidential decree has been published on the legal information site.

According to the document, Solzhenitsyna received the order for her "big contribution to the development of Russian culture and active charity and public work."
