First weeks of July indicate ongoing elevated inflationary pressure - Nabiullina
MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - The first weeks of July have indicated ongoing high inflationary pressure, even when deducting for the indexation of housing and communal services tariffs, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said at a press conference on Friday.
"The rate of growth in prices has remained high in recent months, and stable inflation accelerated in the second quarter. The first weeks of July indicated continued high inflationary pressure even when deducting the indexation of housing and communal services tariffs. Household inflation expectations have been growing for three months in a row, companies' price expectations remain elevated, and professional analysts' expectations for next year have begun to deviate from the target," Nabiullina said.
