Miratorg aims to boost exports to over $500 mln in 2025
MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - Miratorg, one of Russia's largest agribusiness groups, plans to increase its exports to "more than $0.5 billion" in 2025, company president Viktor Linnik said Thursday at the presentation of the annual report Global Food Security and International Trade in Agricultural Products in Moscow.
He said Russian meat producers have secured access to key markets with purchasing power in the past five to ten years. "This is big business. We're pursuing a strategy on markets such as China, Saudi Arabia and Persian Gulf countries," Linnik said.
Miratorg now exports its products, ranging from raw materials, fats and bone meal to branded convenience meat products and pet food, to almost 40 countries. The group increased exports by 18% to 191,000 tonnes in 2023 and is aiming for 15% growth this year.
The group's strategy is aimed at expanding its assortment, including in exports, as well as the share of processed products with high added value. For example, Miratorg began exporting gelatine from its plant in Kursk Region at the beginning of July.
