South Ukraine NPP general director replaced
MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Acting Energoatom CEO Pyotr Kotin has signed a decree appointing Vyacheslav Stoyanov, most recently the Rovno Nuclear Power Plant's (NPP) chief engineer and first deputy general director, to the post of South Ukraine NPP general director.
"The main task of the new South Ukraine NPP head is to work to increase Ukraine's energy security and enhance its nuclear power capacity," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Energoatom as saying on social media.
Stoyanov has a years-long work record in the nuclear power sector and has received awards for conscientiously fulfilling his duties, climbing the career ladder from an engineer's job to the top management of a nuclear power plant, it said.
Ukraine currently has nine reactor units at the Rovno, Khmelnitsky and South Ukraine NPPs with total capacity of 7,800 MW.
