Azerbaijan ups oil imports from Russia 34% to 616,000 tonnes in H1

BAKU. July 24 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan boosted overall oil imports 18.1% year-on-year to 742,348 tonnes, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax.

The imports grew 19.3% in value to $415.7 million.

Oil imports from Russia grew 34.3% to 616,200 tonnes or 83% of the total and 32.4% in value to $338.6 million.

Azerbaijan imported 34,593 tonnes for $22.829 million from Kazakhstan and 91,555 tonnes for $54.326 million from Turkmenistan.

Overall oil imports grew 2.9-fold to 1.918 million tonnes and 2.4-fold to $1.08 billion in 2023.
