Power outages to be in place for 3 categories of Ukrainian consumers for nearly half of Tuesday
MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - The regional distribution system operators will resort to tougher restrictions from 2:00 p.m. to the end of the day on Tuesday, July 23, simultaneously introducing power outrages for three categories of consumers across Ukraine, while power outages will be in effect only for two categories of consumers in the first half of the day, Ukrainian media said, citing the Ukrenergo power grid operator.
"The regional distribution system operators will introduce power outages for three categories of consumers from 2:00 p.m. to midnight. Two categories will be affected prior to that," Ukrenergo said in a statement on social media.
Media outlets said later, citing Ukrenergo, that power outages were cancelled for one category of consumers in ten regions - the Lvov, Zakarpattia, Volyn, Ivano-Frankovsk, Ternopol, Khmelnitsky, Vinnitsa, Odessa and Nikolayev regions, as well as the Kiev-controlled part of the Kherson region - until 2:00 p.m. today after Ukraine's solar power plants stepped up their operations.
