Russian train services unaffected by global Microsoft outage

MOSCOW. July 19 (Interfax) - The widespread Microsoft outage has not affected the operations of Russian Railways.

"All information systems of Russian Railways are operating nominally", a company representative told Interfax.

Global media outlets said earlier that a major outage in Microsoft systems led to disruptions for various users in a large number of countries and also caused technical problems for train companies in the United Kingdom.

Microsoft, for its part, said it was taking "mitigation actions" after service disruptions.
