Ukrgazvydobuvannya commissions well with daily flow of 145,000 cubic meters of gas

MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - Ukrgazvydobuvannya (UGV) has commissioned an appraisal-development well with a daily flow rate of 145,000 cubic meters of gas in east Ukraine, Ukrainian media quoted the company as saying on social media.

The well is 3,200 meters deep and its construction took five months.

"The well was drilled in the northeastern part of a field, where drilling had not been carried out for about 10 years, and resumed only last year. Since the beginning of the year, six new production wells have been commissioned at this field. And this is not the limit - we plan to launch 13 more production wells here before the end of this year," company chief Sergei Lagno was quoted as saying.

Ukrgazvydobuvannya produced 13.224 bcm of commercial gas in 2023, up from 12.5 bcm in 2022. It commissioned 86 new wells, 24 of them with an initial daily flow rate of more than 100,000 cubic meters, in 2023. It commissioned 36 new gas wells, 11 of them high-yield, in January-May 2024.

Naftogaz owns 100% of Ukrgazvydobuvannya.
