Titan-Polymer ships first batch of BOPET film to Turkey

MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax) - Titan-Polymer, a division of Titan Group in Pskov Region, has shipped a first batch of more than 20 tonnes of transparent, metallized BOPET (biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate) film with chemical coating to Turkey under a long-term contract, the company reported.

"The plant is confidently expanding the geography of shipments. Our BOPET film is bought by several dozen companies in our country and CIS countries - manufacturers of packaging, cable products, electrical equipment and construction materials. [...] The shipment of product to Turkey is an important stage for us in work on the foreign market and this course will be continued," Titan-Polymer commercial director Maxim Filippov said in the press release.

Titan Group has a number of petrochemical divisions, including Omsky Kauchuk, which produces butadiene-alfa methyl styrene rubbers, propylene, methyl tert-butyl ether, phenol, acetone and isopropyl alcohol; Titan-SM LLC, which produces synthetic plastic lubricants and oils, automobile chemicals and antiseptics based on isopropanol at facilities in Omsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov and Tula regions; and Titan-Polymer LLC, which produces BOPET films in Pskov Region. The group also includes Titan-Agro, which produces pork and compound feed in Omsk.
