Capital investment in Kazakhstan down 3.5% in H1
ALMATY. July 15 (Interfax) - Capital investment in Kazakhstan fell 3.5% year-on-year in January-June 2024 to 6.7 trillion tenge, the Strategic Planning and Reforms Agency's National Statistics Bureau said.
The mineral resource sector received 23.5% of the investment, real estate 21.5%, transport and logistics 16.1% and manufacturing 9.9%.
Businesses provided the bulk of the investment with 4.788 trillion tenge, the budget 14.5%, bank loans 4% and other borrowed funds 9.5%, of which non-residents 2.7%.
