Kiev to sell land plot to Knauf for expanding business
MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - The Kiev City Council has authorized the selling of a plot of land 0.33 hectares in size at 8 Garmatna Street in the city's Solomyansky district to Knauf Gips Kiev LLC for operating and maintaining the company's transportation facility, Ukrainian media reported citing the council's draft resolution adopted at a meeting on July 4.
Knauf Gips Kiev LLC has already paid UAH 1.4 million upfront, in line with a contract dated August 14, 2023, the draft resolution says.
The company is supposed to pay the rest of the price in the amount of UAH 11.9 million within ten days after the purchase and sale agreement's notarization.
According to the Opendatabot online database, Knauf Gips Kiev LLC is wholly owned by the German company Knauf International GmbH.
Knauf is a leading global producer of plaster and construction materials. In Ukraine, the company operates two plasterboard manufacturing facilities.
