Tinkoff Bank changes name to TBank
MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - TCS Holding has renamed Tinkoff Bank as TBank, according to data in the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE).
TCS Holding, which includes TBank, announced the change in the lending institution's name in early June. "The Tinkoff brand is evolving into the T-Bank brand," the group said.
Tinkoff Investments would presumably be renamed T-Investments, and Tinkoff Insurance would presumably be renamed T-Insurance.
The holding plans to scale its business to international markets, and believes that the new brand would be a universal solution for this purpose.
The plan is to update the brand gradually. The group intends to update the website and app at the first stage, and then update all legal names, cards and ATM designs, as well as the envelope design.
Tinkoff Bank updated its logo in February 2024, with the letter "T" currently depicted on a yellow background instead of the previous coat of arms.
Vladimir Potanin's Interros became the principal shareholder of TCS Group in April 2022, buying out 35% from the group's founder, Oleg Tinkov, who was later recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation.
