Temperature record broken in Moscow for second day in row
MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - Moscow has broken the high temperature record for July 3 set 107 years ago, Roman Vilfand, the scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told Interfax.
"Temperature in Moscow has reached plus 32.5 degrees centigrade, which is by 0.3 higher than the previous record set in 1917, 107 years ago," Vilfand said.
The record high temperature for July 3 in Moscow was +32.2 degrees.
Moscow recorded another all-time high in air temperature in the city the previous day. The record set on July 2, 1890 was broken when temperature level surpassed 32 degrees on Tuesday.
