Blackouts continue in Ukraine - Ukrenergo
MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - Regional distribution system operators in Ukraine will introduce blackouts for two categories of consumers from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, and will apply them to three categories of consumers simultaneously during the rest of the day, Ukrainian media outlets cited the Ukrenergo power grid operator as saying in a statement on social media.
Ukrenergo explained such extensive restrictions with a high level of electricity consumption due to the ongoing spell of hot weather.
As reported, Ukrenergo announced simultaneous round-the-clock blackouts for three categories of consumers on Tuesday, but it adjusted the supply restrictions for Wednesday, scheduling blackouts only for two categories of consumers from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
