Polyus sells Degdekan deposit with gold reserves of 38 tonnes to diamond miner Alrosa
MOSCOW. July 1 (Interfax) - Polyus has sold the Degdekanskoye gold ore field in the Magadan Region to diamond miner Alrosa , the respective companies said.
The companies said that Polyus Krasnoyarsk has closed the deal to sell 100% of the Magadan Geological Exploration Enterprise, which owns the license for the Degdekan deposit, to the Almazy Anabara company, which is part of the Alrosa group.
The State Reserves Commission in 2015 confirmed the balance reserves of the Degdekan deposit at 38.3 tonnes of gold in the C1+C2 category with an average grade of 2.2 g/tonne, excluding off-balance-sheet reserves.
