Russia's GDP projected at 'around 5%' in first half of 2024 - Putin

MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - Russian economic growth is projected at around five percent in the first half of 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

"The [GDP] growth was 3.6% last year, it will be over five percent in the first half of this year. I think it was 5.4% in the first quarter. We will see what will happen in the halfyear, but the country's GDP will also be somewhere around five percent," the president said at a meeting with alumni of the Higher School of Public Administration of the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), noting a considerable contribution of the entrepreneurial community to economic growth.
