India preparing for summit with Russia - Foreign Ministry
DELHI. June 28 (Interfax) - India is preparing for the 22nd Indian-Russian summit, the Indian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Friday.
"We have a very well established bilateral summit arrangement with the Russian Federation. We have this bilateral summit meeting between the prime minister of India [Narendra Modi] and the president of the Russian Federation [Vladimir Putin]. [...] We are preparing to hold the next summit," Jaiswal told journalists when asked when Modi was going to visit Moscow.
The summit's dates will be announced as soon as possible, he said.
Twenty-one such summits have already been held, he said.
In addition, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will lead the Indian delegation at a Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Astana on July 3-4, he said.
