Czech train operator RegioJet transports 21,000 passengers between Prague, Ukraine's Chop since March
MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - The Czech railway operator RegioJet has transported over 21,000 passengers along the Chop-Prague route over the three months since it launched the service on March 28 and plans to increase the number of seats on its trains due to high passenger load, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the operator's statement on Friday.
An average passenger load on the Chop-Prague route has been 90% over this period, but trains have been running fully occupied since June, it said.
RegioJet said it was working to increase the number of carriages and passenger seats, bringing them to 450 on a single train in the near future, which would enable the company to transport 150,000 passengers a year.
Passengers can use the Chop to Prague service to travel from Ukraine to Prague, Kosice, Zilina, Ostrava, Olomouc, and other Czech and Slovak cities.
