CIS Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Heads of State to meet in Moscow in Oct

MINSK. June 25 (Interfax) - Meetings of the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will take place in Moscow on October 7 and October 8, CIS First Deputy Secretary General Leonid Anfimov said.

"Today's meeting will address the draft agendas for the upcoming sessions of the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States due to take place in Moscow on October 7 and October 8, respectively," the SB. Belarus Segodnya state-run media outlet quoted Anfimov as telling journalists before the start of a meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other CIS bodies in Minsk on Tuesday.

The envoys attending the meeting in Minsk will also sum up the results of the CIS Council of Heads of Government meeting in Ashgabat on May 24 and will outline objectives as part of implementing adopted documents and the agreements reached, it said.
