Unipro shareholders approve decision to waive dividends for 2023

MOSCOW. June 25 (Interfax) - The shareholders of PJSC Unipro , during the annual general meeting held in absentia, voted to approve the decision to waive dividends for 2023, having decided not to distribute net profit of 21.48 billion rubles and to leave it at the company's disposal instead, the power-generating company said.

Unipro's current dividend policy envisages paying out 20 billion rubles to shareholders for 2021-2022, and the same amount is set as guidance for 2023-2024. The company intends to inform shareholders about the prospects for payments for the period, according to the statement. However, Unipro shareholders last received dividends of 12 billion rubles for 9M 2021.

Unipro owns five thermal power plants in the Russian Federation with total capacity of 11,275 MW. Germany's Uniper energy holding owns 83.73% of the company's shares, which Russia's Federal Property Management Agency (Rosimuschestvo) has managed since April 2023. Uniper last spring said that it effectively had not been able to exercise operational control over the Russian asset since the end of 2022.
