New EU sanctions against Russia apply to 116 individuals, entities - statement
BRUSSELS. June 24 (Interfax) - The 14th EU package of sanctions against Russia applies to 116 individuals and entities, the Council of the European Union said in a statement.
"Today's package includes restrictive measures on additional 116 individuals and entities responsible for actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine," the statement said.
Another publication said that the EU is banning access to certain Russian media outlets, including Izvestia and Rossiyskaya Gazeta, on its territory.
The new sanctions will take effect once published by the Official Journal of European Union.
