Azerbaijan keeps discount rate at 7.25%

BAKU. June 21 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Azerbaijan decided to maintain the discount rate at 7.25% at its meeting on June 21.

The lower threshold of the interest rate corridor was kept at 6.25%, with 8.25% as the upper threshold, a Central Bank press release said

Azerbaijan's Central Bank has reduced the discount rate three times since the beginning of 2024, 25 basis points each time. The last time the Central Bank lowered the discount rate was on May 2.

The Central Bank's next discount rate meeting will take place on July 31.
