Ukrenergo announces larger power consumption restrictions on Fri
MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - There will be larger power consumption restrictions in Ukraine from 1 p.m., Ukrenergo said in a statement on a social network, as quoted by Ukrainian media.
"There will be larger restrictions throughout the day today, on June 21. The restrictions will grow from 1 p.m.," the company said.
It explained the restrictions with difficulties experienced by the power grid.
Network operators, including Nikolayevoblenergo, are warning clients about the simultaneous disconnection of two queues between 1 p.m. and midnight (while it was planned yesterday to disconnect only one queue in the last hour of the day).
The Polish electricity transmission system operator provided urgent assistance to Ukraine on Thursday to compensate for the power deficit, Ukrenergo said.
Electricity imports from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Moldova will amount to 26,700 MW/h during the day, same as the day before.
Earlier, stricter power supply limitations were planned between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. and between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m, which means simultaneous disconnection of more than one client queue.
