Ukrferry resumes service on Chernomorsk-Batumi line to Georgia in July

MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - The Odessa-based Urkferry shipping company resumes service on the Chernomorsk-Batumi line to Georgia on July 9, Ukrainian media said, citing the schedule on the company website.

According to the website, the Kaunas ferry will depart from Chernomorsk at 8 p.m. on July 9 and will arrive in Batumi 60 hours later, at 9 a.m. on July 12.

The trips are expected to be weekly.

The website describes the Kaunas ferry as capable of carrying cargo and up to 250 passengers. Built in Germany in 1989, the ship under Lloyds' market supervision has a length of over 190 meters and a width of 28 meters.

The company warned that the departure and arrival time and dates might change before and during the trip.

There has been no marine traffic between Ukraine and Georgia since the beginning of the crisis.
