Ukraine, EU extend road transport agreement for another year
BRUSSELS. June 21 (Interfax) - Ukraine and the European Union have decided to prolong and extend their current road transport agreement for another year, until June 2025.
The document was signed in Brussels on Thursday by Deputy Restoration Minister Sergei Derkach on the Ukrainian side and European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean on the side of the European Commission.
The European Commission said it viewed the signing of the document as an important step promoting cooperation on transport and export logistics. The agreement serves as a key element to support grain exports from Ukraine, enabling transport operators to work without special permissions, thus considerably facilitating such exports.
