Russia to continue developing student exchange program with Vietnam - Putin

HANOI. June 20 (Interfax) - Russia will continue developing student exchanges, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with graduates of Soviet and Russian universities in Hanoi.

"More than 3,000 Vietnamese citizens are now studying at Russian universities, in total some 75,000 Vietnamese people have received education in our country. We of course intend to continue assisting student exchanges, academic mobility, [and] the launch of joint educational projects and university programs," he said.

"I am confident that we will consistently develop Russian-Vietnamese partnership, based on the strong traditions of friendship and mutual assistance, setting ourselves new ambitious goals and objectives," he said.
