Armenian FM not to take part in CSTO foreign ministers meeting

YEREVAN. June 19 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will not take part in an upcoming Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Foreign Ministers Council meeting, Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ani Badalyan said.

"Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will not take part in the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council meeting to be held in Kazakhstan's [...] Almaty on June 21," Badalyan said in an interview with the Armenian state news agency Armenpress.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on June 13, "We have frozen our participation in the CSTO. The next logical step will be our withdrawal from the organization. We did not say in our government program that we will remain a CSTO member. We said that we have questions, to which we expect answers to be given."

"When this happens, we will decide. Possibly in a month, or possibly in a year or three," he said.
