Energy ministers of SCO countries to meet on June 21 in Astana - media

MINSK. June 18 (Interfax) - The respective energy ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries are scheduled to meet on June 21 in Kazakhstan, the SB. Belarus Segodnya government publication said.

"The meeting of the heads of the energy ministries of the SCO countries will be on June 21 in Astana. Aibek Smadiyarov [the official representative of Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry] said that the heads of the energy departments would review and approve the Strategy for Developing Energy Cooperation among SCO Member Countries up to 2030. The document has been developed upon the initiative of Kazakhstan," the publication said.

"The heads of the delegations will also discuss strategic approaches to developing energy cooperation within the organization," the publication said.
