Putin orders signing treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership with N. Korea
MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered signing a treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
"The Russian Foreign Ministry's proposal coordinated with relevant federal government bodies and organizations on signing a treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea shall be accepted," Putin's directive published on the official online database of legal information says.
The directive authorizes the Russian Foreign Ministry to make adjustments to the draft treaty during negotiations as long as they do not amend it fundamentally.
"The signing of the treaty envisioned by this directive at the top level shall be considered appropriate," it said.
